Drive power cable

1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 66).

2. Remove the access panel (

Access panel on page 67).

3. Rotate the drive cage to its upright position.

4. Disconnect the cable from the system board connector labeled SATAPWR0 (1), and then

remove the cable from the computer.

5. Disconnect the cable from the hard drive (2) and the optical drive (3).

6. Remove the cable from the clips on the base pan and on the drive cages, and then remove the

drive power cable from the computer.

To reinstall the drive power cable, reverse the removal procedure.
