Before you begin disaster recovery:

Recover the systems:
Choose the best disaster recovery method:
“Failing Over to the Synchronous Backup System”

• Make the synchronous backup system (usually the local
backup system) primary.
“Failing Over to the Asynchronous Periodic Backup System
(with Data Transfer)” (page 219)
• First send data from the synchronous backup system to
the asynchronous periodic backup system (usually the
remote backup system), then make the asynchronous
periodic backup system primary.
