In pools or V-VO

Ls, the following SIMs (Service Information Message) will sometimes occur.

• When the usage rate for the pool exceeded pool threshold 1: (80%): Reference code 620XXX

• When the usage rate for the pool exceeded pool threshold 2: Reference code 621XXX

• When the pool is

full: Reference code 622XXX

• When an error occurred in the pool: Reference code 623XXX

• When the ratio of free pool capacity to free V-VOL capacity exceeded the V-VOL threshold:

XXX indicates the pool ID. For details about the SIM reference codes, call HP technical support. You can

see SIMs occurring in the storage system through the window of Remote Web Console. For details about

If you c

omplete a SIM, the status of the SIM changes to completed. After the problem that caused

the SIM is so

lved, complete the SIM and change its status to completed. If you complete the SIM before

the problem that caused the SIM is solved, the SIM may reoccur during the next operation.

1. Change the status of the pool or the V-VOL whose usage rate exceeds the threshold to normal.

For information about solutions when the pool usage rate or the V-VOL usage rate exceeds the

threshold, see Table 17 on page 59.

2. Change the mode of Remote Web Console to Modify.

If the mode is already changed to Modify, you can skip this step. For information about how to

3. Display the Pool window.

4. Select the SIM Complete Request check box in the Pool window.

5. Click App

Aconﬁrmation message is displayed asking if it is OK to apply the setting to the storage system.

6. Click OK.

The conﬁr

mation message closes, and the SIM complete process begins. It takes time if there

are many SIMs to be completed.

You can check whether the SIMs completed successfully in the window of Remote Web Console. For
