Set SSL/TLS enforcement

The Set SSL/TLS Enforcement option validates the ID certicate whenever Security Manager communicates with

the HP device. By default, this option is set to

Do Not Enforce SSL/TLS Validation. However, when Security

Manager installs an ID certicate on the HP device, the option is set to enforce validation.

NOTE: To use this option, a valid ID certicate must be installed on the computer that the Security Manager

service runs on.

Follow these steps to set this option:

1. Log into Security Manager, and then select the Devices tab.

2. On the Devices page, click the check box in the rst column to select a device in the “Devices list panel” or a

group from All Devices.

3. Click the Set SSL/TLS Enforcement icon located in the Devices toolbar and then select one of the following

options:

Enforce SSL/TLS Validation: Select this option to allow Security Manager enforce device validation.

●

Do Not Enforce SSL/TLS Validation: Select this option to not enforce device validation.
