11. Now reconfigure the backup application to use the new D2D share as a backup target device. For example

the backup application will need to retarget backups to the new share. This should be done prior to deleting

the original share to ensure the migration has been successful and that the backup application can access the

new share.

12. Once the replication mapping has been removed and the new share configured with the backup application,

the original share can be deleted from the NAS – Shares page on the Web Management Interface.
