25. Delete the root specification contained in the boot loader configuration file.
Delete the
root specification in the configuration that you copied in step 23. If
you are using a Xen kernel, delete the root device specification in
module. For
details on Xen kernels, see Table 3-47: Xen Hypervisor Operating Environments
Supported by HDLM.
26. Specify the initial RAM disk image file created in step 19 for
initrd contained
in the boot loader configuration file.
Change the
initrd specification in the configuration that you copied in step 23.
If you are using a Xen kernel, change the
initrd file name specified in module
to the initial RAM disk image file you created in step 19. For details on Xen
kernels, see Table 3-47: Xen Hypervisor Operating Environments Supported by
HDLM.
Keep in mind that the specification method for
initrd differs depending on the
boot loader.
If any options have been specified to suit the user environment, take care not to
delete those options.
27. If SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 10 or SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 11 is
used, delete the
resume setting contained in the boot loader configuration file.
Delete the
resume specification contained in the configuration that you copied in
step 23. If
resume is set for the kernel parameter, delete the resume setting,
because it is not supported by HDLM.
28. In the boot loader configuration file, edit the settings to be used during a boot.
