To enable a container’s NVRAM write-back cache, use the
container set cache command with the /write_cache_enable
switch, as in the following example. In the example, the
/write_cache_enable=TRUE switch enables the write-back cache on
container 0. The /unprotected=FALSE switch enables the NVRAM
write-back cache only if a battery is present and its status is Ok.
HPN0> container set cache /write_cache_enable=TRUE
/unprotected=FALSE 0
Executing: container set cache /write_cache_enable=TRUE
/unprotected=FALSE 0
After running the container set cache command to enable a
container’s NVRAM write-back cache, use the container show
cache command to display information about the container’s
cache, as in the following example. In the example, the Write Cache
Setting item indicates ENABLE WHEN PROTECTED, which
means that the container’s NVRAM write-back cache is enabled if a
battery is present and its status is OK.
HPN0> container show cache 0
Executing: container show cache 0
Global Container Read Cache Size : 81920
Global Container Write Cache Size : 27729920
