Navigation bar

Select the appropriate option from the side bar.

Help and logout

The Help option opens the help pages.

Logout closes your session on the HP D2D Backup System. If somebody else

logs in, you will be automatically logged out.

Device information

This section provides the information that identiﬁes your HP D2D Backup

System. It shows the IP Address and Network Name of the HP D2D Backup

System.

Status details

This section provides details about overall system status and the status of

system components. Additional information is provided if the status is not

OK. See also “Status icons” on page 65.

Network, Disk Usage and RAID all link directly to the relevant pages for

more information.

If a tape drive is connected directly to the HP D2D B ackup System, its status

is also displayed in this section with a link to job history.

Conﬁgured backup

devices

This section shows the devices that have been conﬁgured and their

connection status. Our example shows one autoloader and no tape drives.

Note that when a tape drive is shown, it is the tape drive that has been

conﬁgured on the HP D2D Backup System and not the physical tape drive

that may be attached to it.

Theiconforthedevicechangestoindicateacopyorexporttophysicaltape

by showing the cartridge partially ejected.

To conﬁgure the devices, select Devices from the navigation side bar. Or:

• Click on the relevant Edit Conﬁg, iSCSI or Cartridges link to view speciﬁc

information for the selected device.

Status icons

Indicates a healthy system or system component.

Indicates a warning or err or state.

Devices (Conﬁguration)

By default, one autoloader is created automatically when a new host connects to the HP D2D Backup

S ystem. Use this page to view and conﬁgure the default autoloader and to create additional devices, if

required, for the host.

The top half of the page shows the six possible devices available on the HP D2D Backup System. None

or all of these may be populated depending on how many devices have been created.

T o view device details

Click on Select to view the details for a selected device in the bottom half of the page, where you can

also edit and delete details.

There are also links on the Name, Cartridges and Connection ﬁelds that take you directly to the relevant

information for that device.

NOTE:

If a device is shown as not connected, this indicates that the iSCSI Initiator on the host has not logged on.
