Fan shroud

Follow these steps to remove the fan shroud:

1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 28).

2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 29).

3. Remove the front bezel (see Front bezel on page 31).

4. Remove the drive cage (see Drive cage on page 34).

Remove the fan shroud:

1. Position the computer with the rear panel toward you.

2. Disconnect the power supply P3 (1) cable from the system board.

3. Release the power supply P3 cable from the retention clips built into the fan shroud (2).

4. Press out on the fan shroud release tabs (3).

5. Remove the fan shroud (4).

Reverse this procedure to install the fan shroud.
