A Using VSM with firewalls
To protect you system against unauthorized access from outside your network, enable Windows
Firewall. However, a number of ports need to be opened to allow SVSP to communicate properly.
The HP Command View SVSP GUI, the SVSP product, and the VMAs use the ports listed below. If the
VMA is running a firewall, these ports must be open:
Inbound ports
TCP ports 20, 21, 22, 23, 3260, 4102, 5989 (Rule name: SVSP TCP port)
TCP ports 8080, 8181, 8443, 9020, 59152, 59153, 59154, 59155, 59156, 59157, 59158,
59159, 59160, 59161, 59162 (Rule name: CVSVSP TCP port)
UDP port 137 (Rule name: SVSP UDP port)
UDP port 9000 (Rule name: CVSVSP UDP port)
Outbound ports
TCP ports 8080, 8181, 8443, 9020, 59152, 59153, 59154, 59155, 59156, 59157, 59158,
59159, 59160, 59161, 59162 (Rule name: CVSVSP TCP port)
UDP port 9000 (Rule name: CVSVSP UDP port)
Windows 2003
To enable Windows Firewall on Windows 2003:
1. Click Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall.
