
Unpacking the autoloader
Before you begin, clear a work surface to unpack the autoloader. Make sure you have easy access to the
host server and an easily accessible power outlet (and the rack, if you are installing the unit in a rack) .
CAUTION:
If the temperat
ure in the room where the autoloader will be installed varies by 15º C (30º F) from the
r oom where the autoloader was stored, allow the autoloader to acclimate to the surrounding env ironment
for at least 12 hours before unpacking it from the shipping container.
Unpacking the autoloader:
1. Before opening and removing the autoloader fro m the shipping container, inspect the container for
shipping
damage. If you notice any damage, report it to the shipping company immediately.
2. Open the shipping container and carefully remove the shipping materials from the top of the
autoloader. Remove
additional components, such as autoloader cover or rackmount rails and
screws, and set them aside.
3. Lift the a utoloader out of the carton and remove the bag from the autoloader. Remove the foam
cushion from the back of the autoloader. Save the packaging materials for future use.
CAUTION:
Do not place the autoloader on either end or sides as this may damage the autoloader.
