Make sure that both equations are selected, as we are looking for values of X and Y that satisfy both
equations.
Entering a seed value
1. Display Numeric view.
Unlike the one-equation example, in this example there are no given values for any variable. You can
either enter a seed value for one of the variables, or let the calculator provide a solution. (Typically, a
seed value is a value that directs the calculator to provide, if possible, a solution that is closest to it
rather than some other value.) In this example, look for a solution in the vicinity of X = 2.
