the principal has been reduced, and interest paid, during a payment group is shown at the bottom of the

bottom of the screen. The previous example shows the rst payment group selected. This represents the rst

group of 12 payments (or the state of the loan at the end of the rst year). By the end of that year, the

principal had been reduced by $1,676.57 and $9,700.63 had been paid in interest.
